Do you want a cheap and frugal way to finally stop getting unwanted sales calls on your phone? Who doesn’t! Someone mentioned this idea recently, and I think it is absolutely genius, so I have to share it with all of you! This person got a MagicJack as a second phone line and gives out the telephone number for the MagicJack line anytime they are asked for their phone number. This includes when they fill out freebie requests online or do other online offers/surveys…. They then have the MagicJack set so they can’t even hear the phone ring, so even if someone calls the MagicJack line, they are not bothered by the “sales call.” Then they have their “original” phone number for only family or friends.
On the flip side, if you’re already getting lots of unwanted sales calls on your original line, you could get a MagicJack line and use that number exclusively for your family and friends. It could work well in either situation. (We are fortunate that we have an unlisted Vonage phone number so rarely get any unsolicited calls.)
