One thing our family is trying to do is increase our daily fiber intake. So, I was excited when Mom Central recently asked us to try out two new Kellogg’s cereals that have added fiber: Apple Jacks and Froot Loops. Kellogg’s came up with a wonderful idea, to add a boost of fiber to some of their most popular kids’ cereals. They started with two kids’ favorites: Apple Jacks and Froot Loops cereals, which now have three grams of fiber per serving. In addition, Kellogg Company plans to extend the added fiber benefits to their other cereal lines over the next year.
We recently received a box of Froot Loops with fiber, a box of Froot Loops with no fiber, and 2 boxes of Apple Jacks with fiber. I must say we were instantly hooked on the fiber versions of these cereals. My 2 year old son instantly loved the Apple Jacks and even wanted more! I had my husband (“Engineer”) do a blind taste test on the Froot Loops (he didn’t know which was which), and he preferred the fiber version! These are great not only for breakfast, but for quick snacks too. It’s an easy way to add fiber while you’re snacking! Be sure to use these hot coupons when trying out these new cereals! The only thing I wish is that these cereals had less sugar in them, and no artificial coloring. But I am excited to see the fiber added in these!
