My father recently passed away from kidney cancer. My mom was his full-time caregiver, and she herself is a breast cancer survivor. It’s amazing how she found the strength to carry on for six months while watching her husband of 58 years slowly deteriorate before her eyes. She’s a stronger woman than me!

I think I go above and beyond as a mom in some simple ways. I make sure we always have a home cooked dinner together, I keep my son entertained during the day without TV and I just try to keep the family full of fun and love.

I am an independent solo mother of one. I have been working two jobs to keep my home and family in tact. Giving up is always an option that crosses my mind but my determination for success pushes me forward

My mom has gone above and beyond the call of duty in the 30 years she has spent with me! She has always been supportive, to the point of letting me and my boys come live with her when my first husband left. She is the most amazing grandma to my now 4 kids and would do anything for us! She is my inspiration and biggest encourager in this journey of motherhood.

My mom was left a widow at 32 with 4 children ranging from 4 to 12. She raised us as a single mother with grace, humor and the knowledge that hard work would not kill us – I owe so much to her and she watches my son daily now – I think it took me becoming a mother to realize what she sacrificed for me. Plus she also cursed me to get a child just like myself and I do! – I love you mom!!

My mom still goes above the call of duty every day for us. As a child I never understood the value of what she was doing by staying home with us. Now I know how much that meant!

Thanks for the chance!!! We go above the call of duty everyday, coming home from a rough day, smiling, cooking and loving our family despite the days we have had, sitting in traffic and dealing with office drama!!! My mom did the same for us as kids and always played with us even though i know now she would have rather been asleep or hanging out with friends!!! she did it cause she loved us! 🙂 love you mom!!!

My friend has a wonderful mother-in-law. she watches her 2 year old and 7 month old while she works. this is not an easy task for a mom, especially not a grandmother. she never drove because she was scared, and when she learned she was going to be a grandmother and take care of her grandchildren, she overcame her fear and learned to drive!
